Learning Objectives
Task 1: Students will use a Padlet to display their understanding of Shakespeare's life in preparation for the reading of Shakespeare's play, Julius Caesar.
Task 2: Students will compare and contrast the Greek Drama with the Shakespearean Drama in a visual manner—using Easel.ly, Piktochart, Canva, or Google Jamboard—to display their understanding of how the Greek Drama helped influence Shakespearian Dramas like Julius Caesar.
Task 3: Students will create a digital product—using a FlipSnack,—to display their online research about Greek Mythology using correct citations to guide them in their understanding of allusions within Julius Caesar.
At the end of this unit, students will be able to understand the basics of Shakespeare's life, the influential nature of the Greek Drama upon the Shakespearian Drama, and how Greek Mythology acts as a very influential historical piece used in many writings—especially in Julius Caesar. All three tasks will be used as a means of measuring student's ability to use digital tools and resources to produce, publish, and update individual or shared writing products, taking advantage of technology's capacity to link to other information and to display information flexibly and dynamically, as stated in the above standard. Each Task assessment works as a means of measuring student's attainment of these outcomes in relation to our content material.
